Banana In Bangkok

Hello friends!
I'm finally going to start blogging after procrastinating for like 183839273years yay!!

On the 18-23Nov last year, I went to Bangkok with my parents and elder brother, my other brother couldn't join us because he had to work. Let me just warn you that this blog is super draggy so sorry in advance!!!

As you can tell from this photo, I was super hyped up about the trip. That's because i had been planning for it since september and when I say plan, I really mean I planned which hotel to stay in, which airline to take, our itinerary, and THE FOOD WE ATE YAS (I LOVE THAI FOOD)(AND STREET FOOD), then got the approval from the mom.
yay krispy kreme!!!
our welcome drinks: )
We stayed at Centara Watergate, it was a relatively new hotel so it was very clean and comfortable. It was pretty convenient too, about an 8minutes walk to platinum fashion mall.

our first meal at platinum mall's food court

Did I mention that 3/4 of this blog is probably about food because food makes me very happy:)
fresh pomegranate juice
heavenly grilled pork
SUPER SWEET PINEAPPLE
crepes!!! I had the crispy banana&nutella crepe and mom had the soft strawberry crepe with ice cream!!!
(sorry..I get very excited when I talk about food, hence the numerous exclamation marks)
the much talked about chocolate banana prata
(tbh I didn't really like it..I prefer prata with curry)
mango!!!

Day 1 was a blast, I'm currently salivating at all the food.
 DAY 2

Our itinerary for day 2 was cafe hopping!!! (and of course shopping) I had a list of cafes that I wanted to visit, all of which I read from a few of my favourite bloggers. So we left our hotel in the morning and walked to Siam area. On the way there, there were endless rows of street food stalls. Everything looked so intriguing, I wished I could have tried everything but unfortunately I had to keep stomach space for the cafe hopping.
I have no idea what this street food was but it tasted great!!!
First stop was Petite Audrey at Siam Center.
super pretty place!!!

We ordered the tom yum kung pizza and tom yum kung pasta. They were recommended by a few food bloggers (yes I did my research) and both were really good!!
 super photogenic place!!!

for dessert we had the thai milk tea crepe cake and the milo crepe cake. Both were also super yummy.

After that we headed over to Siam Paragon to Mr. Jones' Orphanage. The place was train-station themed and it was extremely cute with teddy bears everywhere.

We ordered an orange cake and a date cake.

That was pretty much all , after that we went to shop and went for thai massage at midnight.

DAY 3

We went to the well-known After You cafe at Central World in the morning.

We over-ordered so the whole day we felt really uncomfortable:/

What is Bangkok without a tuktuk ride!

That night my brother and father flew in to join us and my adventurous dad brought us to have some amazing street food !!!
salt grilled fish!!!

DAY 4

Day 4 was mostly shopping at Union mall so not much photos. We went to Somtam in Siam square because I heard many good reviews of it but I honestly felt there was nothing that special except the garlic fried chicken.
 Garlic fried chicken

 hahahaha I love my dad

Cool ice cream thingy at Union mall

ice cream mochi!!! These were everywhere in Bangkok and I totally regret not buying more when I was in Bangkok because it's so expensive in Singapore : (

DAY 5

We went to the floating river market in the morning.
hehe cute old man squeezing through all the boats
no idea what this was but it was good
 boat noodles!!!
 coconut pancake!!!
fried popiah!!!

After that we headed to Chatuchak market. Didnt take much photos though..
cute puppies for sale!!!
legendary coconut ice cream!!!

Since it was our last night in Bangkok, we decided to stay out as late as possible to explore!!!
dad is seriously DABOMB.COM, he found this street food selling pad thai and fried oyster omelette and it was HEAVENLY.

After that we found this fruit stall and we decided to buy home some fruits because i love fruits ALOT. We bought so much because the lady spoke in teochew and my dad spoke to her in teochew so she favoured us and gave us alot of discounts.

But guess what? We forgot to bring home all the fruits and left it at the hotel. It seems like every holiday we've been on, we would leave something behind at the hotel, this needs to stop.

DAY 6

Last day: (

last meal in Bangkok at platinum mall
